Miley Cyrus preached self-love and empowerment through her songs. And if you are someone with a broken heart and going through a rough time then I guarantee “Flowers” will work like medicine. But I can understand how Liam Hemsworth might not agree with me or the thousands who loved Miley’s “Flowers”. But does this mean Liam Hemsworth is suing Miley Cyrus for “Flowers”?

To deduce that we first need to see why Miley wrote “Flowers”. The answer in my opinion is rather simple, it is obvious after the divorce Miley had a lot of pain in her and it is evident she wrote “Flowers” to finally get some closure in her life. Miley has poured her raw emotions into the song and that is why many of us found “Flowers” emotionally riveting. And that is why the song gained so much popularity. But then again the popularity of the song might not be appreciated by her ex.

Disliking the song your ex writes to get over you is ok but several media houses suggest that Liam Hemsworth might be looking into some legal action. The legal grounds for a case would be defamation. The same media houses suggest that the success of the song “Flowers” has led to Liam being an easy target for internet trolls. And most importantly the song allegedly caused Liam to lose his contract for The Witcher. The producers of The Witcher thought all the negative commentary going on about the actor will not be good for the show. Is it just me or is anyone else getting Johnny Depp and Amber Heard vibes?

However, Chris Hemsworth’s wife Elsa Pataky is the only one who reacted to the song and gave her honest opinions. She made it clear she loved the song and Miley was free to do whatever she wanted. Her reaction makes it obvious that they were good friends before the separation of the couple. I used past tense while speaking about the friendship because Elsa made it clear she is no longer in touch with the singer.

Coming back to Miley Cyrus and her intentions, she might have been trying to get over her ex but that does not mean she did not want to grab Liam’s attention. How do I know it? The release date of the song kind of gives it away, the song was released on 13th January 2023 Liam’s birthday. Yes, the song was released on Liam Hemsworth’s 33rd birthday.
