Jennifer Coolidge's iconic speech is undoubtedly the best moment of the Golden Globes!

Right from when she was going up the stage to receive the award I knew she was going to stir stuff up. She was armed with her classic bouffant hair and the classic attitude that made Jennifer Coolidge stand out in a room full of celebrities. And on that, she proved that she is in fact a screen icon when she received a standing ovation for an animated and hilarious acceptance speech. So if you are still mourning the loss of Tanya from The White Lotus then you should definitely hear her speech. Jennifer Coolidge poking fun at her reel-life character’s death got tears in my eyes with laughter.

She even gave a shout-out to her amazing moment at the Emmys. She said, “This hook came out and took me off stage at the Emmys and I didn’t get to say what I really wanted to say.” If you do not know about this iconic moment then give me a moment to tell you about this. At the Emmys, the showrunners tried to play her off the stage but Jennifer Coolidge was no push so she refused to go off and started to dance to the music.

Talking to The White Lotus showrunner Mike White she said, “I had these giant ideas but then you get older and I just want to say Mike White you have given me hope.” Yeah, Jennifer Coolidge took her sweet time and appreciated the hell out of Mike White. She went on to say “Even though this is the end because you did kill me off but it doesn’t matter because you really changed my life in a million different ways.” By this time Mike White was just crying but Jennifer went on and said: “He (Mike White) really is one of the greatest people I've met, He gives me so much excitement to be, you make people want to live longer and I didn’t”. Jab after jab after jab, Jennifer Coolidge was unstoppable. 

The 61-year-old actress is definitely a legend and there is absolutely no doubt about it after her speech at the Golden Globes. And it was time she won the award. If you ask me it was the delivery of her line “these gays are trying to kill me” that has gotten her her first Golden Globe. But is it?
