But let's be honest, the real awards of the night are the fashion moments. So, grab your imaginary bubbly and join me as we dive into the 10 most jaw-dropping, and totally unforgettable looks that stole the show at the 2024 Golden Globes.
1. Rosamund Pike in FW19 Dior
While Rosamund Pike’s Saltburn character, Elspeth Catton, wore a handful of 2006 Valentino gowns for the film, on the 2024 Golden Globe red carpet, Pike opted for a Dior look from the Fall/Winter 2019 collection. When asked, the actor revealed that she wore the fascinator for reasons beyond fashion, she said it’s a protective veil for the occasion. Rosamund had a skiing accident over Christmas and her face was entirely smashed up, so she thought she needed to do something. Although she had healed from the accident, Rosamund added that she fell in love with the look and decided to keep it.
2. Dua Lipa in custom Schiaparelli
One Kiss singer Dua Lipa arrived at the 81st Golden Globes red carpet in a show-stopping look, wearing a custom gown designed by Schiaparelli‘s creative director, Daniel Roseberry, consisting of a strapless black gown with a mermaid skirt. Dua was nominated for best original song for the dance track ‘Dance the Night’, which she created with Mark Ronson for the Barbie soundtrack. Speaking with reporters she “It just all felt so right,”, which is exactly how we feel about her in this gown with protruding gold bones against black velvet.
3. Taylor Swift in Gucci
The most-streamed female artist in Spotify's history, Taylor Swift has become popular for her shimmering silver dresses, but when it comes to Golden Globes red carpet it appears she may be exiting her Midnights era with this green metallic Gucci number. Taylor may not have won a Golden Globe this year, but she certainly won the night. The sparkling Gucci gown feels like an exciting departure from her signature style.

Margot Robbie wore a bunch of outfits inspired by the doll’s clothes for much of the “Barbie” press tour and continued that streak with a hot pink Armani Privé gown and a tulle boa that resembled a loofah. As you may have guessed, the look was inspired by the Superstar Barbie toy. Speaking with interviewers, the actress said "I actually do feel it tonight.”
5. Julia Garner in Gucci

Julia Garner walked on the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet in a shimmering Gucci dress which completely redefine the genre. There are low-cut gowns and then there is this gown with two plunging straps akin to suspenders, the gown is undeniably sultry, but in a way that feels so specific and special.
6. Hunter Schafer in custom Prada
Hunter arrived at the ceremony wearing a light blush see-through gown with translucent tendrils of gauzy fabric trailing behind her in a dramatic train. It was a custom Prada creation gown, and Schafer paired it with white pointed-toe pumps. As expected, her look for the Golden Globes was one of the best red carpet looks and her outfit made her look like the wind itself encircling her.

How can we miss this one? The multi-hyphenate star stole the show wearing a vibrant red dress with an asymmetrical hemline and black accents from Giorgio Armani. She was also nominated once again for best performance by a female actor in a television series, comedy, or musical, for her role of Mabel Mora in Only Murders in the Building. And she clearly kicked off the night with a fun and flirty look. Her dress featured cutouts in front with black rosettes and a black waistband, along with a black lining that peeked out from underneath.

Friends star Jennifer Aniston has been trending on Twitter since she stepped onto the red carpet for a reason. Her new haircut, a fresh take on the iconic “Rachel” chop, shows the star is never too far from her roots. The same can be said for her simple black strapless Dolce & Gabbana jumpsuit with a custom bustier top overlayed in feathers paired with light wool pants. Jennifer accessorized her look with a satin pleated belt with sash and satin heels.
9. Greta Lee in Loewe

Past Lives star Greta Lee's buttery look was as divine as we’ve come to expect. Jonathan Anderson dressed Greta and Celine Song in Loewe for the 2024 Golden Globe Awards, as the actress and director were both nominated for their film, ‘Past Lives.’ Greta Lee’s relationship with Loewe is one we’re grateful to see thriving in the present, and the pair just feel like a match made in heaven. Her look is lovely, we feel like we’re having an out-of-body experience just looking at it.
10. Oprah in custom Louis Vuitton
The entertainment queen is keeping her purple-style streak alive. Oprah looked regal at the 2024 Golden Globes red carpet in a bold custom Louis Vuitton purple dress and matching shoes and her look was a loving nod to The Color Purple, which she co-produced. After the living legend attended the Louis Vuitton show last year, the label’s team called and asked what they could do for her. To which she responded, “It’s gotta be purple!” After all, nobody wears the color quite as well as Oprah does.
