10 Summer Bucket List Activities You Can Enjoy With Your Partner

Finally, ice cream weather is here. Along with it comes bikinis, beaches, parties, and all the fun concerts. Whether outdoors or indoors, having a great time in the summer with your partner is just as intimate and powerful as the physical part of the relationship *wink wink*.

For those of you in serious romantic relationships, here’s a list of ten mostly budget-friendly activities you can do with your partner to make the most of the summer.

Camping, But in Your Backyard

If you would want to splurge and go camping at an official campground for a weekend, by all means, go for it. Enjoy the great outdoors and nature and listen to the birds sing.

However, you can still have a great time camping out in your backyard. You can make a little fire and roast marshmallows, or stargaze and pick out constellations.

Make sure you carry mosquito repellant with you if you have not gotten rid of the pesky bugs that come with the heat.

Baking Together

Neither of you has to be a sous chef or a professional confectioner to enjoy this activity. It’s as easy as breaking out grandma’s favorite cookbook from the sixties and picking out a recipe for blueberry pie.

Never mind that the crust burnt and the filling was bitter, and you had to use a fire extinguisher to put out the fire from the oven because one of you put it on high. It's the memories that count, right?

Going to a Concert

A concert by a favorite artist or band is a must on many couples' summer bucket lists. That Travis Scott tour is going to stop in your city, and you're both huge fans. Take time out to go and enjoy the concert with your partner, screaming the lyrics to Sicko Mode at the top of your voice and having a great time.

Keep in mind that all that excitement and adrenaline may or may not leave you bedridden with exhaustion for the next two days. Then again, this life is all about taking risks, right? You only live once.

Go Skinny Dipping

This one is a crowd favorite and appears on many couples' summer “To-Do” lists (trust us, we took a survey). If you are feeling a little daring or risque, go to a lake or a beach, strip down to nothing, and dive in.

It is a romantic, not to mention sexy, way of bonding with your partner. Kissing in the ocean? Swoon. Besides, the excitement that comes with the possibility of getting caught makes it all worth it, believe us.

Visit a Nude Beach

If you want to try a new and exciting activity together, this could be it. While regular beaches are great, you can kick it up a notch by visiting a nude beach.

Understandably, seeing other people besides your partner naked can be a little bewildering, but sometimes, going out of our comfort zone can open us up to a world of possibilities. Have an open mind in trying new things (within your safety and moral restrictions) and make new and different memories. At worst, it's one more thing to laugh about.

Go on a Picnic Together

Nothing screams “Hello, Summer '' louder than a picnic. This romantic and utterly cute activity is a fun and relaxed way of bonding with your partner.

Summer provides the perfect weather to enjoy picnics, with endless blue skies, gentle summer breezes, and the smell of flowers that started blooming in the spring. Bliss. You are hereby encouraged to pack a lunch basket and some wine, drive to the park with your partner, and enjoy as many summer days outdoors as you can.

Get a Couples Massage

Having a spa date with your significant other is a great way to spend quality time with your person. It can be pricey, but it is always worth every dime.

However, you could save some money by making it a DIY spa experience at home. Bring out the massage oils, light some scented candles, put on some mood music, and turn off the lights.

Don’t forget the complimentary glass of wine. Take turns massaging each other’s muscles and generally making one another feel good. Who knows? This may lead to a happy ending.

Host a Games Night

The fun does not have to start and end with just you and your person. Invite some friends over, set up some indoor games, make some light snacks, and have an evening of fun and laughter.

Hosting any kind of gathering, no matter how small, takes a lot of careful planning. If your game night turns out to be a smashing success, the feeling of fulfillment that comes with accomplishing a task with your partner is nothing short of bliss.

Watching the Sunset Together

This is a simple but beautiful way to spend time with your special person in the season. Summer sunsets are nothing short of spectacular, with vivid fiery colors splashed across the sky.

The best part? It’s not obstructed by any clouds or mists or fog. If you or your partner has a truck, you can drive up a hill, set up your blankets at the back of the truck, lie down, and be mesmerized together. This can be a very intimate and grounding experience, so be sure to add it to your couples' summer bucket list.

Watching the Sunrise Together

An alternative to watching the sunset is staying up to watch the sunrise, say, after a night of dancing. It is as easy as climbing up the roof of your house or sitting in the corridor and holding each other while you watch the sunrise.

Spending quality time with your partner should be a priority for anyone in a relationship. Taking the time to rekindle the spark and rediscover one another is worth a thousand I-love-yous. Hopefully, this list encourages you to reacquaint yourselves with one another, unwind, and make fantastic memories.
