DeMario Jackson and Corinne Olympios had their fair share of controversies during their stint in The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. From stories of Corinne’s nanny to DeMario’s mysterious girlfriend, they have been in the limelight for quite a long time. And with the announcement that they will both be in the fourth season of Bachelor in Paradise, people are sure that drama and controversy will follow. But what happened no one thought even in their wildest dreams.

Production was stopped and all the contestants were sent back home after a very serious claim by one of the show’s producers. A producer claimed DeMario sexually assaulted Corinne when she was blackout drunk. DeMario denied the allegation claiming the act was consensual, also Corinne made a few public statements regarding the situation. But the media frenzy that followed was extremely critical for Bachelor in Paradise. But the show conducted an internal investigation into the matter and concluded that there was no misconduct and resumed filming. The two contestants appeared on the After the Final Rose special and cleared things further, saying they are on good terms since the incident.

Arie Breaks up with Becca on-air

There are bad breakups and then there are breakups that are televised on national television. Yikes! Season 22 of The Bachelor saw something similar when Arie Luyendyk Jr broke up with Becca Kufrin. Let us look back, Arie had to choose between Becca Kufrin and Lauren Burnham. He sent Lauren home and chose Becca. But a few weeks later told the producers that he was confused and had feelings for Lauren. So the producers sent Becca to an apartment in LA. While Becca thought it was a romantic weekend with her fiance, the producers had different plans. The producers set up two cameras o to film the first-ever non-stop breakup sequence in TV history. Well, as long as it’s for history right? Becca kept on pacing through the apartment as she processed the bitter news. She was evidently in a lot of pain and wanted to be left alone but Arie kept following her everywhere. The breakup sequence was heavily criticized by the fans and Bachelor alumni.

Usually what happens in the fantasy suites stays in the fantasy suites. Even though it is pretty easy to guess what went down thanks to some confessional interviews afterward. But one Nick Viall was rather controversial when he broke the “Bachelor code” on a very tense After the Final Rose special. Nick was being sent home as the runner-up during The Bachelorette season. During his forest encounter after the breakup with Andi Dorfman, Andi mentioned “She was never in love with him”. To which Nick, who was emotionally distraught, responded, “ If you weren’t in love with me, I'm just not sure, like why would you make love with me? Talk about below the belt. Andi did not take kindly to the statement and told him such private things should be kept private.

The scandalous affair

In Jake Pavelka’s season of “The Bachelor” Rozlyn Papa was once considered a frontrunner. But only a few weeks into the season Rozlyn was sent home after an alleged relationship with a crew member. The said crew member was also fired. Chris Harrison in a statement said that Rozlyn was engaged in a physical relationship with one of the producers from the show. And that was not at all acceptable. Many girls on the show saw it, even the producer in question had confessed it more than once to multiple people.

But Rozlyn on the other hand maintained her innocence. While appearing on a morning show, she said, she did not get anything out of the big sex scandal that supposedly happened. But during the season’s finale, another contestant swore “on my dog’s life” that she saw Rozlyn and the crew member kissing on the stairs. But to date, we don’t know what happened.  

Dumped before the fantasy suite date

A shocking role reversal to say the least. Brooks Forester and Desiree Hartsock were all set for their fantasy suite date. But right before the date Brooks dumped Bachelorette Desiree, saying goodbye to a tearful Desiree, he said he wanted to be in love with her but just did not have those feelings for her. But to make matters worse, Desiree was all set to confess her love for Brooks later that day. Eventually, Desiree ended up with Chris Siegfried as her final man, Chris proposed to Desiree in the final episode. The couple tied the knot in 2016 and today have two beautiful children. Now that’s an ending we all love.
