Britney Spears and Sam Asghari Split Up After 14 Months of Marriage

Sam Asghari cites that the reason behind the split between them is due to irreconcilable differences and incompatibility. According to the sources received by TMZ, Sam Asghari, the husband of the 41-year-old singer, is seeking spousal support and attorney’s fees in their divorce.

According to the divorce filing obtained by The Associated Press, Sam Asghari is yet to determine the full extent of shared property assets and the obligations involved with both parties.

Britney, 41, and Sam Asghari, 29, tied the knot in June 2022 along with the presence of their family and friends. The duo met each other on the sets of the “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and have been together for 7 years. The couple has no children together, however, Britney Spears and Sam Asghari lost a baby early in May 2022 right before they tied the knot.

What could have wedged the separation between the couple? 

According to TMZ, Britney Spears and her husband were involved in physical fights and their marriage was already plagued by deep troubles due to her own mental health. They had been frequently engaging in screaming matches. Apparently it was Sam Asghari who initiated the divorce first. 

Several other reports also state that Sam Asghari accused Britney of cheating allegations, and it was the major reason why he decided to file for divorce. He filed the divorce on July 28, 2023, some three weeks back.

Did Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have a prenup?

We know it's a hot question everyone’s dying to know. Britney Spears, the 41-year-old singer, had signed up for a prenup before the marriage to safeguard her property and assets. Several rumors said that Sam Asghari is trying to exploit Britney by challenging the prenuptial agreements from earlier. While the 29-year-old model’s representative Brandon Cohen said that he possesses no ill will towards the singer.

Britney Spears seems to be coping fine since the shocking news. Recently she posted a picture of her riding a horse and mentioned that she wants to buy a horse. She seemed happy and unbothered in the pictures she posted on Instagram and as usual was flaunting her wacky behavior on her social media.
