Congratulations Are in Order! Queen Rihanna And A$AP Rocky Are Officially Parents!

After a decade of friendship, the couple pushed their relationship to the next level in 2020, when they were increasingly seen together in public, however they didn't declare their relationship until 2021. The rapper, who was born Rakim Athelaston Mayers, has repeatedly confessed in interviews that the Fenty Beauty owner is the "love of his life." They made their relationship public in November of the same year. They revealed they were expecting in January 2022, when celebrity photographer Miles Diggs photographed the singer's bump. She was photographed wearing a pink puffer jacket that was opened up to display her tummy and was fashioned with multicolored jewelry. A$AP Rocky's hands were also visible in the background, holding Rihanna.

Rihanna ignited pregnancy rumors while dining at Carbone a month before the big announcement, and a source stated that she was "very visibly drinking sparkling water and openly stroking her baby tummy."

The singer of "Diamonds" appeared to try to disguise her pregnancy with huge jackets and baggy outfits, but soon began boldly showcasing her baby bump with her colorful maternity design. Rihanna wore famous maternity fashions throughout her pregnancy, often exposing her bare baby bump.

The pregnancy announcement was only the beginning of Rihanna's maternity fashion storm, as she attended numerous fashion events and red carpets while flaunting her baby belly in epic style. She wore diamond chains around her tummy and tops with strategically placed cuts. Her pregnancy style has remained on point, and she's worn her increasing belly in a variety of stunning outfits. The singer-turned-Fenty mogul revealed her pregnancy style in an April cover story for Vogue, adding, “I’m hoping that we were able to redefine what’s considered ‘decent’ for pregnant women. My body is doing incredible things right now, and I’m not going to be ashamed of that. This time should feel celebratory. Because why should you be hiding your pregnancy?” We couldn't agree more. 

While Rihanna has been candid about her excitement and anxieties regarding motherhood, during a May 2021 interview with GQ, the "Everyday" rapper, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, spoke of one day becoming a dad and said he would be a fantastic father. 

Rihanna was last seen in public on Mother's Day weekend in Los Angeles when she and Rocky went out to dinner at Giorgio Baldi. Rihanna, on the other hand, discussed accepting parenthood in an interview with Elle. She stated that the best advice she had received up to this point was to sleep,' as she would not be able to have that wonderful sleep afterwards. She stated that she needed to work on it before it becomes obsolete. The 34-year-old singer also discussed being a fan of Real Housewives and the type of mother she most resembles on the program. Even though Dubrow is stylish and lets her children be themselves, she feels she has a stronger bond with Giudice.

"Teresa from Jersey does not play about her kids. She will flatten you about those kids. And that resonates with me a lot because I feel like that's the type of mom I'm going to be," Rihanna told the outlet. "Psycho about it."

The singer later stated that she might be "worse" than Giudice, adding, "You talk about my kids, it's over." We know a warning when we see one!

Rihanna dealt with a lot of drama in her third trimester, from reports that Rocky had cheated on her with fashion designer Amina Muaddi (which she quickly dismissed as "false hearsay") to her rapper beau's arrest in April in connection with a November 2021 shooting in L.A. (He was later released on a bail of $550,000.)

Meanwhile, immediately after revealing her baby pregnancy, the Barbados-born actress reassured fans that her long-awaited follow-up to 2016's Anti is still in the works. She joked in February, “My fans would kill me if they waited this long for a lullaby.”
