Did McDonald's expect the backlash for their Cardi B and Offset meal bundle?

McDonald’s dropped their most recent meal bundle back on Valentine’s Day. So, what’s special this time? On Valentine’s Day, McDonald’s dropped the Offset and Cardi B McDonald’s Meal. The meal surprised a lot of fans. I mean I have been a big fan of McDonald’s for years now and as a fan, I learned one thing. McDonald’s will keep dropping surprise stuff and they will never let go of the element of surprise so there is no point in getting surprised anymore. 

Both Cardi B and Offset have a huge following on social media and that has led the advertisements of McDonald’s latest meal to be trending on social media. I mean that bit was to be expected after all the power couple has over 30 million combined followers on social media. Instagram and TikTok were flooded with the video of the couple getting into the car with bags of their meal.

It’s all cool and nice but let’s come to the most important part of the meal. What do the Cardi B and Offset meal bundle offer? The meal bundle comes with the go-to orders of the rappers when they are having their date nights. Offset’s favorite is a Quarter Pounder with cheese and a large Hi-C Orange Lavaburst soda while Cardi B loves a classic McDonald’s cheeseburger with the BBQ sauce and a large Coca-Cola. These rappers sure take their date nights very seriously. 

The burgers and the sodas are just part of a regular meal but the power couple’s meal bundle binds it with an order of large fries and a baked apple pie that comes in a cute little bag. The bag has the names of both rappers’ names written in pink and bold, with hearts on them. For me a burger meal without fries is incomplete, I most definitely will order some fries and a soda if I’m ordering a burger. And for date nights I think dessert should be there as it will bind the meal rather nicely. But like many other offers in the past, this too is a limited-time offer. You can grab the Cardi B and Offset meal bundle till the 12th of March, but if you don’t have anyone to share it with then I’d suggest you stay with your regular order. 

I am yet to have the Cardi B and Offset meal bundle yet so I’m not sure if McDonald’s lets you customize the order like what if I and my partner I both want to have a classic McDonald’s burger instead of one being a quarter pounder? Or what if we want both Coca-Colas so there is a lack of clarity for me about the customization part but it would be great if they have customization options.
