Is this why Hailey Bieber and Justine Bieber missed the Met Gala?
Met Gala season is here and that means fans all over the world are patiently waiting for their favorite celebrities to bedazzle the red carpet with some sleek and fancy outfits. After all, it is the biggest night of fashion. So you must imagine how disappointed the fans of Hailey Bieber would have been when they heard she won’t be attending the Met Gala this year. And to make things worse for the fans her husband Justine Bieber also backed away and won’t be attending the vent either. So, why did regular attendees of the Met Gala back away from such a big event?

Before jumping into the ‘why’ let us first look into the ‘how’. I mean first, we need to look into how the news spread that Hailey Bieber who is a regular attendee of the Met Gala decided not to attend the biggest fashion ball of the year. The news allegedly spread from a screenshot of Hailey Beiber’s DM which said,” I’m not going to the Met Gala this year,”. The DM also read “Gearing up for our next Rhode launch so decided to sit this one out but will be back next year.” Honestly speaking I’m not fully convinced Hailey Bieber skipped out on the Met Gala because of a Rhode launch.
If you ask me, Hailey might have taken the decision based on how the year has been going. Yes, if you have followed everything that has happened to her in 2023 then her decision not to attend Met Gala might be justified. From being called a ‘mean girl’ to being accused of copying Selena Gomez’s television show idea, Hailey has had a rough ride in 2023. And this is not a secret even Hailey has opened up about it.
Hailey Bieber recently opened up about how rough and challenging 2023 has been for her and how her mental health took a serious hit. And we should have taken a hint from a story she posted in late April that she might miss out on this year’s Met Gala. The story read,” I like to make jokes about how I feel because sometimes it’s easier than admitting I’m having a hard time. But truthfully since 2023 started I have had some of the saddest, hardest moments I’ve ever had in my adult life and my mind and emotions have been fragile, to say the least. And I know other people feel the way I feel, so just know you’re not alone.”
It’s not just a social media stunt, with the amount of hate Hailey got this year from the internet that’s enough to break anyone. Us Weekly also reported how Justine Bieber too struggled to watch Hailey in that position. So, it was not a total shock when I heard the Biebers are not attending this year’s, Met Gala.
