MasterChef 2022 And Everything You Need To Know!

And they are baaaack! "MasterChef" is back for Season 12, and we've got all the facts on the most-watched cooking show of the summer. Gordon Ramsay crowned Kelsey Murphy as the finest home cook in America in the 11th season finale, which aired in September 2021. But do you know what's the good news for this season? The show is prepared for a special "All-Stars" season that will premiere in early summer on the Fox network, and some of your favorite contestants from prior seasons will return.

Here's all you need to know about Season 12 of "MasterChef," including the launch date.

When is it set to be broadcasted?

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, May 25, 2022, when the next season of "Back to Win" will premiere on Fox. That's usually when the show premieres (with the exception of 2020, when there was no season), so the network sticking to its regular timetable isn't really that shocking. So keep your timetables set for May 25th From 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, for the most-watched cooking show of the summer will run.

Who are the members of the cast?

Fox will reveal the Season 12 contestants in the coming weeks. At this point, all we know is that 20 All-Stars will be given a second chance to prove themselves by taking on the most difficult trials yet. Two All-Stars contestants who previously competed on "MasterChef Junior" are now competing as adults! The network has vowed that these returning chefs will be "held to the greatest standards in MasterChef history," so you know the pressure is on.

The Panel Of Judges

Ramsay, Aarón Sánchez, and Joe Bastianich are all back for Season 12. Since Season 9 in 2018, this fan-favorite duo has been together. While Ramsay has judged the competition series for all 12 seasons, Sánchez joined the panel full-time in Season 8 and Bastianich returned in Season 9 after judging Seasons 1-5.

How many MasterChef episodes will there be and who are all the constants?

Over the course of six weeks, there will be 18 episodes.

What’s cooking this season? Not literally though!

While the "MasterChef" format has changed throughout time, the essential premise remains the same: a group of amateur cooks compete against one another in a series of challenges for the title of MasterChef. The long-running show's first two seasons featured amateur chefs competing for a white apron and a spot in the "MasterChef" kitchen. At the end of the competition, the last chef standing received $250,000, a books deal, and a "MasterChef" trophy. The number of contestants has fluctuated from season to season, ranging from 14 to 22. In Season 12, we expect a dozen or two amateur chefs to receive white aprons.

The level of the obstacles has changed noticeably. In recent years, competitors have gone beyond the "MasterChef" kitchen to cater a 10th-anniversary pool party, create a wedding reception feast for a previous "MasterChef" winner, and even fly to England to handle dinner service in one of Ramsay's real restaurants. This is due, at least in part, to the talent pool's expanding skillset. That point hasn't gone missed by Ramsay, who credits the rise of food-focused media in recent years with introducing home cooks to a wide range of cuisines, culinary styles, and even kitchen equipment. The judges are also increasingly acting as mentors. In response to fan feedback from previous seasons, judges have grown nicer and softer, making useful suggestions rather than harsh criticism (most of the time).

Did you know? Master Chef Judges are served cold food!

On television, it appears that everything on MasterChef goes at a breakneck speed. Contestants work feverishly to prepare their meals before rushing to put them on plates. After a few moments of tasting each meal, the judges decide who receives immunity and who will have to work even harder to stay afloat. Even while we know the first challenge is usually at least 60 minutes long, it all happens in less than an hour on TV. In reality, though, getting those last dishes to the final judging scenario takes a lot longer.

Have you ever wondered what the MasterChef Winner Gets? Can’t say we Haven’

The "MasterChef" title, a $250,000 grand prize, and a state-of-the-art Viking kitchen will go to the contestant who outcooks all of his or her competitors. It's game time!
