Caitriona Balfe made waves for her performance in Belfast as Ma and managed to pick up all the prestigious nominations there are from the BAFTAs to the Golden Globes. SNUB: Ariana Grande – Best Original Song for Don’t Look Up
Source: Variety
The movie was welcomed with mixed reviews from fans and critics alike, but one cannot deny the hilariously serious parody song that Ariana, who played pop star Riley Bina, performed in the movie. She is believed to have improvised some of the lines to create the funniest bits but the Academy was not having it – it signed off a thank you, next on her song and walked right through hundreds of gaped mouths and already suspicious eyes watching the nominations.
