10 Mobile Games Like Fortnite That Will Keep You Hooked

Fortnite took over our smartphones with its engaging gameplay that required a strategic mind to win. Around the world, we have even heard of soulmates meeting each other on the platform. But, battle and war-style games can get tiring after a few years because, at some point, you will be so familiar with the gameplay, maps, and strategies that winning them will become a piece of cake.

That is why it is important to diversify and get into other games that are in the same genre.

Here, we have listed 10 games that are equally, if not more engaging than Fortnite where your mind, will power (and phone’s battery life) will be tested.

Call Of Duty Warzone

You can play Warzone even if you have never played Call of Duty Modern Warfare; this 150-player battle royale is modeled on Modern Warfare's multiplayer but with a few extra peculiarities. Killstreaks can be purchased, and you can respawn by 1v1-ing people in a short cage match. What's more, Warzone supports complete cross-play, so you can play with your friends regardless of which platform they're using.

Fortnite: Save The World

Save the World is a bit of a cop-out because it's still Fortnite, but if the battle royale portion of the game bothers you more than the cartoon-like building gameplay, give it a shot. You must pay to play it, but you will be rewarded with a lengthy single-player or co-op campaign in which you will be pitted against zombie-like creatures known as husks, where you will be able to build traps and save survivors. Although the battle royale game Fortnite is far more popular, Save the World has a lot to offer if you are willing to explore it.

Apex Legends

Titanfall 2's developers, Respawn, are behind this exciting game. In Apex Legends, though, don't expect to be piloting enormous mechs or doing any wall-running, as you play as one of ten Legends, each with their own particular power. Think Overwatch meets battle royale: these characters are as unique as they come, with one calling in an artillery strike and another dispatching a drone to heal teammates. You play in three-person groups so that someone can constantly keep an eye on you, but you don't have to stick together if you don't want to. The good news is that if you and your squad are the only ones left standing, you all win - no gruesome betrayal or fight to the death required.

Worms Rumble

Worms Rumble is no longer a turn-based game; it's instead a full-fledged third-person multiplayer shooter. With Worms Rumble, you can have 32 players battling it out in a large arena which comes with all of the traditional artillery and weapons from the original Worms games. This seems like a natural connection for those who appreciate the cartoony art style and chaotic fighting of Fortnite. Just remember not to pet the sheep!

Halo Infinite

Despite some understandable quibbles with the advancement system that are currently being addressed, Halo Infinite has proved itself to be a great spiritual successor to classics such as Halo 3 and Reach. Though the inclusion of a Battle Royale mode is now just speculation and a few rumors, the multiplayer itself features large venues for dozens of players, colorful weapons, and a full multiplayer experience that's easy to understand in just a few matches.

Totally Accurate Battlegrounds

Are you ready for a hefty helping of pure hilarity? If you aren't familiar with Totally Accurate Battlegrounds, you should be. It's not really a game like Fortnite; rather, it's a game that parodies the battle royale genre to the nth degree. This comedic tactical battler contains strange, floppy characters who go around like they're made of jelly, which is comically hilarious on a battlefield. There are still vehicles, armor, weaponry, and an ever-shrinking circle to fight in, but TABG (ahem?) approaches things a little differently. Just a heads up: don't forget to hit G in the middle of a battle. It's time for some beatboxing.

Ring Of Elysium

What's nice about Ring of Elysium is that it has the severity and FPS quality of PUBG while also having a hint of the humor of Fortnite. Anyone for a real cat in a balloon carry backpack? Count all of us in!  It's not just got a truly wonderful character creation engine that I could fiddle with all day but it's also an amazingly solid battle royale game that'll have you riding your BMX across Europe or riding a skimobile across Dione to avoid the ash storm. We're obsessed with it, and you should be too.

Surviv.io

Surviv.io can be thought of as a top-down version of PUBG. It works in any browser (like we need any more reason to be late for work), and it's incredibly responsive once you are able to anticipate what the pixel drops represent. It's surprisingly enjoyable, and while it lacks the personality of the other games on this list, it's cute and worth playing if you're unfamiliar with the genre.

H1Z1

This version of H1Z1 began as a King of the Hill game, with up to 150 players squabbling for survival in encounters that were far faster and more chaotic than Fortnite's. Daybreak Games, the game's developer, has officially released the free-to-play H1Z1 Battle Royale (complete with Auto Royale mode) on PC and PS4. The Auto Royale mode is also a nice bonus, since it sets 30 teams of four players against each other, with one player controlling the vehicle and the others handling the weapons. Along the way, the player must collect power-ups and shatter gear crates. It's Mad Max Battle Royale on steroids, and it's fantastic.

Knives Out

Knives Out, which is produced by the same developers as Rules of Survival, is another PUBG/Fortnite clone for Android and iOS. NetEase appears to have an unhealthy fascination with Battle Royale games. The difference here is that the map is enormous and far larger than the Fortnite alternative. Despite its vastness, because of its vehicles and fast-moving storm, it performs very well on mobile.
