Katy Perry totally slayed it on the stage with her hilarious sense of humor!

Katy Perry wore a gold metallic bralette and ballgown skirt for the annual event and she looked stunning in the photographs. For the caption, she wrote how she loved celebrating with her favorite Aussie and wrote the hilarious phrase “sister from another mister”. Well, you have to admit the singer does have a sense of humor. Katy Perry was also the one who awarded Miranda Kerr with the Excellence in Arts award at the gala.

Katy Perry in her Instagram post also added, “Congrats on the honor, I love our modern family & I love @koraorganics Turmeric Glow Moisturizer so much I dressed like it.” As I said the singer does have a sense of humor. But Katy Perry didn’t wanna take any chances on people missing out on her snappy humor so she added,” also thank you for introducing me to celery juice. I just thought they were those veg stick things I stir me, Bloody Marys, with.” 

Katy Perry has been engaged to Orlando Bloom since 2019. The couple also shares their daughter the two-year-old Daisy Dove but apart from his daughter with Katy Perry, the 46-year-old actor also has a 12-year-old son Miranda Kerr. After Kerr’s divorce from Orlando Bloom, she went on to marry Evan Spiegel the co-founder of Snapchat, and share two kids with him.

Honestly, I didn’t think Katy Perry would be chosen to present the award to Miranda Kerr at the gala, but when I got to know she is the one presenting the award to Kerr I didn’t think it would go this smoothly. Forget about a rocky show. I did not imagine the interaction would be so wholesome. After presenting the award to Kerr Katy Perry playfully told the audience, “Some of you might be confused about why I’m introducing Miranda. That doesn’t play into the antiquated narrative of ex-wives and new wives.” I have to agree on one thing, everyone was thinking about the ex-wife and the new wife dynamic but no one expected Katy Perry to bring it up on stage. 

That was not all, Katy went on to add, “ And yes, it’s true, most of the media would like to see us mud wrestle, including Evan Spiegel, but we are here to lead by love because Miranda is love.” Yes, Katy Perry even name-dropped Miranda Kerr’s current husband Evan Spiegel. The speech just kept getting better and better. But all things considered, how Katy Perry dealt with the entire ex-wife's new wife situation was a breath of fresh air. She really embraced her “modern blended family”. I really want both of them to work on collaboration together. Who knows we might see Miranda Kerr in a music video for Katy Perry real soon.
